Selecting Business Systems

By Richard Kilburn MSc FCCA | Updated August 27, 2007

There are many business systems on the market, covering a multitude of functions. The key is to assess what functions you want the systems to cover. From there, you can begin to select either software systems or manual processes to achieve the particular task.

In terms of the software systems the market covers very small bookkeeping systems through higher-level accounting, sales and contact management packages with sophisticated capabilites, right up to enterprise-level, highly-configurable state-of-the-art systems covering product manufacture and process, stock control through to sales order and invoicing.

Cumulo Accountancy and Taxation has experienced staff capable of delivering at all these levels. From setting-up or upgrading accounting packages up to the building of a project team for major systems re-design or implementation, we have the skills and experience to guide you through the process, avoid the pitfalls and deliver your requirements on time and within your budget - but most importantly, delivering the benefits you envisaged and planned for, when you bought the system. Why?  Because if it doesn’t help your business to do something better or faster or cheaper, why would you do it?
